Draft Content Audit & Cannibalization¶
Status: Complete (archival pass done) Project: SEO · Website
What this is¶
A pass through all WordPress drafts — unpublished pages and posts accumulated from various content experiments, planned expansions, and never-shipped ideas. Goal: decide what to archive, what to consolidate with existing live pages, and what to finally publish.
Paired with a cannibalization check — finding cases where multiple pages (drafts or live) were competing for the same keyword and splitting their own authority.
Key passes¶
Draft Content Audit, Cannibalization Check, Archival + Consolidation Plans (April 10) — full audit with archival + consolidation plan for all drafts.
Skill Update: web-content-revise v2.2 + GSC Cannibalization Audit (March 27) — updated the content revision skill to include a cannibalization audit step using GSC data.
Archived drafts (examples)¶
- Archived Draft: Elizabethtown Car Accident Attorney (WP ID 7124)
- Archived Draft: Shoulder Injury From a Car Accident (WP ID 57894)
- Archived Draft: Kentucky PIP Reforms / HB 627 (WP ID 57918)
These drafts were superseded by newer, better content (or deemed out of scope) and archived with a trace of their WP IDs in case they need to be resurrected.
